Hello, my name is Andy Jackson, my family and I started a new company A&K Outdoors WV. My family and I love the outdoors and being an avid hunter for 50 years I know hunters hate to be wet. I have all the different types of portable roofs, but they just don’t hold up for what I wanted. I wanted a roof I could leave out the entire season and know it will be there when I go to my stand.

I came up with the rain buddy system, it comes in two sizes. The first is 28inx28in for the portable tree stands and with the blind accessory you have total concealment. Then we have a 48inx48in for the bigger tree stands and with the blind accessory you can use this one as a ground blind.

It simply straps to a tree, and you lift the lid and assemble the roof frame. It slides onto the tree bracket, and you turn a knob and the waterproof fabric unrolls. Then slide the fabric over the roof frame and turn the knob to tighten and snap the tension straps together for a drum tight fit. There is a locking pin to keep the fabric from unrolling.

What I like about this system is you can tilt it if the rain is blowing in and the water runs off the one side. The best thing is when I leave and store everything back in the container, I know it will be there when I return.

I came up with this idea when I was a kid but never thought about making a sellable version. Always figured someone would come up with a great roof system for hunters. That did not happen and the last couple of years using the same old roofs I decided to make my own. One that would hold up to the environment. This system is strong and will last if properly stored when you are not in the stand or the ground.
